Let’s Stand On Line To Reserve A Model 3

Wow!

We can’t imagine anyone being disappointed with what we saw yesterday! We had a fantastic time standing on line in Dallas and Fort Worth and were thrilled to meet so many new current and soon-to-be Tesla Owners. By the time the initial lines were cleared, we counted 550 people in Dallas and another 200 in Fort Worth — Fort Worth surely would have had more, had people known about it. We saw several pained looks from Fort Worthians in the Dallas line who realized they could have had half their day back had they been at the much shorter Fort Worth line.

By the end of the amazing reveal, Tesla had accepted 135,000 reservations, which matches well with our back-of-the-envelope estimate that Texas reservations will double the number of Teslas here. But later, Elon tweeted that 198,000 reservations were accepted in the first 24 hours!
