Bring Your Tesla To Earth Day Texas - 2016
April 22-24, 2016
Fair Park, Dallas
What a great weekend at Earth Day Texas! We had perfect weather, record crowds and many people excited to see our cars!
We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend to show off our cars. We had a location that was close to perfect — especially once we figured out that putting Kris's Very Orange Roadster at the main gate might attract a few people to see us!
Our members and our friends from NTEAA attended all three days and we fielded thousands of questions about electric cars. The questions were more sophisticated than prior years; many people knew about the Model 3 (and many people had placed their deposit on one); the buzz at the Automotive exhibits was, “where are the Teslas?”; and of course, we met several Model S owners who had no clue there was a club in North Texas (never fails to disappoint us).
The attendance of 130,669 blew away prior records and Saturday alone had as many attendees (61,000) as the prior three-day record. Now some would say it was because of the “Tiny House Village,” but we know it was because of the thirty-plus Teslas — at least that’s what the three young men who drove down from Tulsa to see us said.
